The G.U.R. process was developed to facilitate the handling of fragile pieces. It was back in 1989, that the thought of adding steel rods in specific areas was successfully tested. There is a patent pending for this concept at the moment.
The biggest advantage is that the sink and cook-top cut-outs can be made in the plant and the countertops delivered to the customer without fear of breakage. This eliminates the use of grinders or other equipment in the home which create noise, dust and other inconveniences.
