Types of seams

It is sometimes impossible to manufacture counters without joints. The addition of one or more joints depends on the size of the counters, the dimensions of the slabs available and also takes into account manufacturing or installation constraints. There are two types of seals: the straight seam or the Spectra seam.

The straight joint is used for countertops with type A or B profiles or for countertops with uniform textures.

The Spectra seam is mostly used with stones that have colorful patterns such as granites. This type of seam enhances the aesthetics of any countertop. Besides adding strength to the assembly it reduces the appearance of the seam, the curved line blending in with the pattern of the stone.
